Not much of an update actually.

A few contractions, laps around the L&D halls and some intermittent monitoring. Going to re-check at 11:00a and see where she’s at.

In other news, in case you were wondering…

- A man gets quite hungry about 10:00a after eating breakfast somewhere around 4:30a. I’m not accustomed to seeing (or eating anything) at 4:30a so its somewhat new to me.

- My Internet issues were saved by @robshiflet this morning at around 7am-ish with the lending of his MiFi hotspot from Verizon. Never used one, great tool. I took a moment to look them up on Sprint and Verizon for you but didn’t waste my time with AT&T because I’m already a current subscriber and wouldn’t recommend their data network for anyone. (If the links don’t work, try this one)

- The thermostat in L&D #5 needs replacement. It’s the old analog slider type that takes you from 70F to 79F with about a fingernail nudge.

- Confession: Had camera/computer troubles this morning before leaving the house so I actually grabbed my wife’s Dell for the road as well. Happy to report that it wasn’t any more helpful and once I remembered iPhoto, my Mac was the right solution once again. Thanks, Steve.

- If the software was right, the iPad would be a life saver for nurses and doctors. Somebody get to work on that.

- If the hospital wifi was right, the iPad would be a life saver for me. Baylor, get to work on that.

- She’s off for another lap. Good thing the doula is in shape.

Just got word that the doctor should be in to see Melanie in about 10 minutes. Let the games begin.
